John Hartson is a legendary footballer. A former Welsh internationalist who played for a number of teams, including Celtic, Arsenal and West Ham. He won 51 caps at international level for Wales.
John retired from international football in 2006 and took up position of assistant manager under Chris Coleman of the Welsh international soccer team.
John Hartson was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2009. The cancer eventually spread to his brain resulting in him having to undergo emergency neurosurgery. Despite having over 200 carcinogenic cells in his body, through treatment and with perseverance, the cancer had virtually been eliminated.
John Hartson has written a book about his struggle against the cancer “Please Don’t Go” and has started the John Hartson Foundation to promote testicular cancer awareness. He currently works as a TV and radio pundit with numerous media organisations, including the BBC, ITV and ESPN.
John is happy to do Q&A and enjoys interaction with guests at all types of dinners and high profile events.
