Ruth Langsford is best known for presenting ITV1’s flagship daytime show This Morning every Friday with her husband Eamonn Holmes.

She has been been a regular host on Loose Women and continues to do so throughout the year. Ruth covered for Lorraine Kelly on GMTV. She also guests on panel and comedy shows. These include Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Keith Barry’s Magic Show, Odd One In, magic numbers and many more. She was even caught by Eamonn in bed with Rob Brydon on Annually Retentive! Ruth was a team captain on a Family Fortunes Christmas Special.

Ruth Langsford is a writer and is currently a weekly columnist for Woman magazine. In 2015 Ruth and Eamonn started presenting How The Other Half Lives on Channel 5. The show ran for 8 years.

Ruth has fronted high profile commercial campaigns, is a voice-over artist and hosts corporate events. She has also narrated documentaries for Channel 4, Five and the History Channel, as well as corporate videos and radio commercials.

Her passion for cooking has seen her appear on Marco’s Kitchen Burn Out, Ten Mile Menu, Market Kitchen, Ready Steady Cook. She was also the host of Carlton Television’s Food Network Daily and Westcountry TV’s cookery competitions series Taste of the West.

A keen gardener, Ruth presented The Great British Garden Show on BBC2 and ITV’s gardening quiz show.

Ruth also holds a passion for fashion, and the press regularly pick up on this.

Her career started at ITV in the Westcountry 25 years ago where she fronted the evening news programme and presented her own chat show. From there, she moved into national television and has fronted shows for BBC1, BBC2, ITV and several digital channels.

Born in Singapore, the child of an army family, Ruth lived in five countries before the age of 10, ranging from Germany to North Africa. She is a keen DIY-er and seamstress, with her own toolbox and sewing machine! She is also badly claustrophobic and suffers from chronic seasickness.
