Multi-Award-Winning Australian Comedian, Co-Host of ‘Lucy & Sam’s Perfect Brains’ Podcast & Won the Most Outstanding Show Award at the 2018 International Comedy Festival

Sam Campbell is a multi award winning Australian comedian who now resides in London. His phenomenal success since he arrived in the UK in 2022 has seen him sweep the board of comedy awards. His debut Edinburgh Fringe show won the top comedy award.

The Times described him as “a nutball”, whilst The Guardian called him “loopy”.
No stranger to awards, Sam Campbell had already picked up the Most Outstanding Show at the 2018 International Comedy Festival in Melbourne. He had previously won the Best Newcomer and had a couple of appearances on Australian television.

In the UK in 2023, Sam’s show was nominated as Best Stand Up. The following year at the Chortle’s he was again nominated, firstly as Best TV Comic and then as Best Breakthrough Comic, in which he was announced as the winner. He was also voted in the industry as the Comedian’s Comedian.

Channel 4 have recently commissioned a pilot called “Make That Movie!”. Here, Sam picks up film ideas from the public which he then has to turn into actual movies.

After moving to London, it wasn’t long before he was to appear on UK television. He made his mark in Taskmaster where Greg and Alex were either in fits of laughter or just downright speechless at Sam’s extraordinary delivery. He ended up being the series’ 16 outright winner.

Sam has also been on Would I Lie To You? and was seated with Susie Dent on the Dictionary Corner of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

November 2023 saw Sam Campbell team up with Lucy Beaumont to launch their new podcast called Lucy & Sam’s Perfect Brains. Sam met up with Lucy when they both appeared on Series 16 of Greg Davies’ Taskmaster. Apple Podcasts described them as “Comedy’s Biggest Fruitcakes”.

First ever UK Tour:
Sam Campbell started his first UK and Ireland tour in February 2024. It’s called Wobservations. In April he headed back to Australia to do a few dates in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. May sees Sam in LA and New York before heading back to the UK for tour dates in June and July.
