Sarah Beeny self-trained in the property and building industry. She eventually set up her own property development company at the age of 24. This was along with her brother and partner (now husband).

She had alreday started her development and property investment company when in 2001 she was also asked to be the presenter on Channel 4’s prime time show Property Ladder.

Property Ladder introduced Sarah as the girl we all need – armed with advice, experience and prepared to get her hands dirty, she helped amateur developers in making the best of their investments. The programme has been a huge success with 7 series to date. This led to a number of other property programmes. These included Britain’s Best Homes and Property Snakes and Ladders.

In 2006 Sarah presented the extreemly successful One Year to Pay Off Your Mortgage. Sarah was now a celebrity household name and had started guest appearing on a number of other shows. These included Ch5’s Fifth Gear and Gordon Ramsay’s The F-Word.

Enjoying the opportunity to bring property to the masses, Sarah has been a regular contributor to magazines. These include Homebuyer, New Woman and At Home whilst writing a weekly feature for The Mail On Sunday.

She also wrote the bestseller books that accompanied Property Ladder and Property Ladder: The Developer’s Bible, which accompanied series 4. With her popularity confirmed in the world of property, Sarah then went on to front a new series House To Home and Britain’s Best Homes both for Channel4 .

Property Ladder (series 4) and Shedfest (Discovery) transmitted in 2004 and Sarah filmed Streets Ahead (CH4) and by 2006 she was on series 5 of Property Ladder. That same year Sarah’s book Price the Job was published along with Property Ladder: Hints and Tips. The Property Ladder magazine is published monthly by Brooklands.
