Comedian, Actor, Juggler, ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ Finalist, Performed at ‘The Royal Variety Show’ & Won a Gillard Award For His Work With BBC Radio Lancashire
Steve Royle is a comedian, an actor, a writer and also a juggler. For many he is know for being a finalist on Britain’s Got Talent. Steve received a Gillard award for his work with BBC Radio Lancashire. The award recognised Steve Royle’s work with local radio.
Steve’s career over the years, has seen him appear on a number of TV shows. These include, The Royal Variety Show, Sunday Night at The Palladium and The Rob Brydon Show. Other TV shows to include are, A Question of Sport, Stars in Their Eyes, and The Price is Right. Many of them have Steve as their warm-up. Phoenix Nights is another TV show Steve has appeared in.
Pantomime has also been in Steve Royle’s blood for many years. For 20 years he performed at Blackpool’s Grand Theatre, a theatre Steve calls “his second home”. His most recent appearance in panto saw Steve celebrate his 1,000th performance. Steve will be back at Blackpool’s The Grand Theatre in their 2023 production of Aladdin.
He spent many years as “Special Guest” on Dave Spikey’s Tours and has supported several other top comedic names including Peter Kay, Mick Miller, Roy Walker and The Lancashire Hotpots! He was also the first comic, ever, to act as “Warm-up” for The Royal Variety Show featuring Take That, Rod Stewart, Barry Manilow and Meatloaf.
