Simon Evans is a comedian and comedy writer with a huge following in the UK. He’s been on many of the top TV shows but he likes nothing better than being in front of a live audience and being on tour. Simon has been a regular performer at The Edinburgh Fringe since 2000. He is seen as a top corporate comedian and awards host.

He hadn’t planned to be a comedian, he went to Southampton University in the 80’s where he graduated in Law. This could be why he is so popular on the corporate scene. He has become a popular corporate comedy act and a brilliant awards host.
As a comedy writer, a number of top TV shows have used Simon’s talents. These include, ‘They Think It’s All Over‘ and ‘8 Out of 10 Cats‘. Simon has also written for some of the UK’s top comedy talents such as Dara O Briain and Lee Evans and he was one of Sean Lock’s writers. He was one of the creators and writers of the Dave Channel’s ‘Argumental‘, which featured John Sergeant as host, along with team captains Markus Brigstocke and Rufus Hound.
In 2005, Simon Evans comedian was one of only three UK comics invited to perform at the prestigious Aspen Comedy Festival, along side Stewart Lee and Eddie Izzard. Previous to that, Simon received an enthusiastic reception for his Gala set at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. Here he also headlined the Brit-Com package show to great acclaim. Needless to say, Simon is now a firmly established attraction on the circuit.

TV and Radio:
Simon Evans has many TV credits. However, as is often the case, it was for an appearance in a commercial. In this case it was for Strongbow Cider. Simon was ow immediately recognisable to the general public. He always has TV projects in development which allowed him to build on this TV fame.
A favourite of Radio 4, Simon has hosted and written seven series of the spoof news show, The Way It Is. He was also appearing on numerous panel games and discussion programmes.
He has appeared on ‘The Comedy Store’ for Channel 5 and BBC1’s ‘The Stand Up Show’. 2010 saw Simon’s first appearance on ‘Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Road Show‘. In 2011 Simon had his first foray into mainstream comedy quiz shows. He made appearances on Dara O Briain’s ‘Mock The Week’ with regular panellists Andy Parson and Micky Flanagan.
In late 2012 Simon won Celebrity Mastermind on BBC1. His chosen specialist subject was Ernest Shackleton.
