Omid Djalili is a comedian, host and actor known for his legendary stand-up performances.

Intelligent, sometimes provocative and always entertaining, Omid’s stand-up is a hugely energetic and captivating comedy masterclass. His credits range from Hollywood to television. Also the West End Stage to his critically acclaimed performance as Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof.

Earning praise across the world, Omid has starred in Dickensian (BBC1), Lucky Man (Sky1) and Going Forward (BBC4) with Jo Brand.

After numerous appearances on television, 1999 saw the start of Omid Djalili’s film career. He started appearing in a number of films, most notably Gladiator and also Mamma Mia2.  Other films include The Mummy, Mean Machine, The World Is Not Enough, Alien Autopsy and Spy Game. Also, there was Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. Not to mention Notting Hill, Mr Nice and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. Finally, Sex and the City 2 and he provided his voice in the computer-animated comedy film, Over the Hedge.

More recently in 2022, Omid Djalili filmed two BBC pilot episodes of Tonight With Omid. One version for BBC Persian was recorded in Farsi and one in English which is planned to air on BBC2.
