Email Agent of Tim Vine

Tim Vine is one of the funniest stand-up comedians around. The late Bob Monkhouse said of Tim, ‘…he has taken the trick of word play and extended it to lengths no one has ever dared before – a very funny man indeed’.

Tim first came to prominence, when he won the ‘Perrier Newcomer award’ at the prestigious Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1995. He has since made regular appearances there. Tim’s stand up performance is primarily a series of incredibly quick fire one liners. In 2008 at the Edinburgh Fringe he performed a show, appropriately entitled ‘PunSlinger’.

Previously, in 2004,Tim Vine broke the Guinness World Record for the most jokes told in an hour, with 499 recorded. In order for each joke to count he had to get a laugh for each joke. This was from a paying audience!

But there is more to Tim Vine than really funny one-liners.

Tim is equally at home on television and radio. He was the co- host, with BBC’s Julia Bradbury, of the launch of Channel 5 in 1997. Tim also presented the game show ‘Whittle’ on that channel. He has presented ‘Housemates’ on BBC, the game show ‘Fluke’ for Channel 4 and ‘Fort Boyard Takes on the World’ for the Challenge TV channel. Tim also appeared on a celebrity version of the programme.

Tim is also part of a group of comedians who write and make appearances on the popular ITV comedy programme ‘The Sketch Show’. He is also well known for his TV work with the hilarious Lee Mack on the hugely successful sitcom ‘Not Going Out‘.  He plays the character Tim Adams.

Tim Vine has numerous other TV appearances to his credit including ‘Comic Relief does Fame Academy’, celebrity ‘Who wants to be a millionaire’ with his older brother Jeremy Vine, the Aussie soap ‘Neighbours’ and Channel 4’s ‘Countdown’.

Tim loves performing to live audiences and has taken his shows ‘Current Puns’, ‘Punslinger’ and ‘Plastic Elvis’ on tour all over the UK. He recorded a live show at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London. He then released that as a DVD, entitled ‘So I said to this Bloke’.  Later Tim was back at the Bloomsbury to record another DVD. Tim now has six DVD’s available along with two books

Tim’s most recent DVD, Sunset Milk Idiot released in 2019 is featured on top right.

“I’m pleased to report Tim was fantastic!  The crowd reacted really well to his act, then pen song got such a cheer when he caught it I thought the roof was going to come off! Please pass on my personal thanks to Tim – I only managed to meet him briefly as I was manic  – but also from my client and the guests – the feedback has been amazing for the evening. Thanks for your help too, hope to work together again in the future.” – Izzy, Account Manager, First Event
