Email Agent of Tony Singh MBE

Tony Singh chef, is one of Scotland’s most dynamic chefs with a reputation for innovation and excellence. He runs his own restaurant consultancy and is well known for having run three of his own restaurants.  His restaurants were, Oloroso, Tony’s Table and Roti, all receiving great critical acclaim.

Tony was awarded an MBE in the 2017 New Year’s Honours List

Tony Singh was always destined to be on TV and it was in 2013 when he teamed up with fellow chef from London’s renowned, Cafe Spice Namaste, Cyrus Todiwala in the BBC’s “The Incredible Spice Men“.  He and Cyrus travelled all over the UK. They transformed the way British dishes are cooked at home. A book to follow the series was also launched.

Prior to that, Tony was one of three chefs who represented Scotland on BBC’s The Great British Menu Does Comic Relief.

In 2015, Tony was delighted to be one of the chefs featured in BBC1’s “A Cook Abroad“. Tony went over to trace his roots. He wanted to check out if his mum’s food was the real deal and meet his 93 year old uncle.

Born in Leith, Edinburgh, Tony Singh has established himself as a leading force on the Scottish restaurant scene. For over 25 years, Tony has pushed the boundaries of culinary innovation, combining his Sikh upbringing with his love of Scottish produce. His distinctive style soon developed and made him hot property in restaurant circles and helped him secure membership of the country’s leading bodies including the Academy of Culinary Arts, the Craft Guild of Chefs, the Scottish Chefs association and the Master Chefs of Great Britain.

Visit Scotland named Tony as one of the chosen few “Real Scots“. He is now an ambassador for Scotland and all things Scottish. He has taken on the responsibility of promoting Scotland and its delicacies globally.

His distinctive culinary talent and passion for using only the best ingredients, made him hot property in restaurant circles. This lead to positions with the Royal Yacht Britannia, Leith, the five star Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh, the exclusive Greywalls just outside Edinburgh and the tiny, cramped kitchen on board the famous Royal Scotsman train.

Tony’s family still have a house in Delhi, yet until only recently, he had never set foot in India. Holidays are few and far between – destinations in recent years have included the Dominican Republic, Italy, France and the Kyle of Lochalsh, a favourite place in Scotland.

Tony Singh is just now finding time to take on engagements outside of his own businesses. He is happy to attend dinners and lunches as the guest speaker or demonstrate his culinary skills to an invited audience at venues all over the UK.
