Combining adventure with insight, Levison continues to inspire global audiences through his storytelling, photography and exploration of human endurance.

Before rising to prominence as a travel documentarian, Levison served as an Officer in the British Army, where he was deployed to Afghanistan and awarded the Operational Service Medal with Afghanistan clasp. He later became part of the 77X Brigade as a reservist, taking part in the first British Army exercise in Japan. His military background instilled the resilience and leadership that would define his career as an explorer. In 2014, he embarked on a nine-month expedition walking the length of the Nile, which marked the beginning of his reputation as one of Britain’s foremost modern explorers, as the journey became an acclaimed Channel 4 series.

Since then, he has led expeditions across the Himalayas, Central America, Russia and the Arabian Peninsula, covering thousands of miles through some of the world’s most challenging terrains. Recognised for his expertise and contribution to exploration, Levison was appointed a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and awarded an honorary degree from Staffordshire University in 2017. He continues to inspire through his work in television, exploration and public speaking, combining his military discipline with a deep curiosity about people and places.

Levison is the author of six books, including ‘Walking the Nile’, ‘Walking the Himalayas’, ‘Walking the Americas’, ‘Eastern Horizons’, ‘Arabia: A Journey Through the Heart of the Middle East’ and ‘Encounters: A Photographic Journey’. His writing combines travel narrative with historical and cultural insight, earning widespread acclaim for its authenticity and depth. His work has also been featured in major outlets such as the BBC, Channel 4, Forbes, The Telegraph, The Independent and Metro, cementing his reputation as a leading voice in modern exploration and adventure journalism.
