Jamie McAnsh has become one of the UK’s most inspiring motivational speakers, recognised for transforming unimaginable adversity into extraordinary achievement. A disabled adventurer, award-winning athlete and advocate for resilience, Jamie is widely respected for proving that limitations do not define potential. After waking paralysed in 2014 with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, he rebuilt his life through determination, mental strength and a refusal to accept defeat. Today, Jamie is hired by organisations across the UK to deliver impactful keynote speeches on overcoming adversity, diversity and inclusion, mental health and goal setting. As the Founder of See No Bounds and a Forbes DEI and HR Council member, Jamie empowers audiences to reframe challenges and create positive, inclusive cultures.

Following his life-changing diagnosis in January 2014, Jamie began rebuilding his confidence and independence while navigating life in a wheelchair. Determined not to let CRPS define him, he embarked on a series of remarkable endurance challenges that pushed both physical and mental boundaries. Over the years, he completed 12 extreme challenges in 12 months, raised more than £250,000 for charity and became the first person with CRPS to reach Mount Everest Base Camp on crutches. Jamie also became the first disabled player to compete in the Welsh Open Squash Tournament, represented Wales in wheelchair rugby and completed a range of endurance feats, including hand-cycling 100 miles in 13 hours. Alongside his speaking career, he founded See No Bounds, the UK’s first online community centre and business directory focused on accessibility and inclusion, while continuing to advise organisations on diversity and workplace culture.

Jamie’s achievements have earned widespread recognition and numerous accolades. He became the UK’s first Charles Holland Award winner in the “Against All Odds” category and also received the Brave Briton Award and the Greatest Achievement Award in 2017. His powerful story has been featured by major organisations and charities, while his TEDx talk, “Get Back Up”, further established him as a leading voice on resilience and mindset. In 2025, Jamie was accepted as an approved council member for the Forbes DEI and HR Council, recognising his growing influence within diversity, equity and inclusion leadership.

Beyond his physical challenges, Jamie has openly discussed his experiences with anxiety, depression and surviving cancer, as well as supporting his mother through a brain tumour diagnosis. These deeply personal experiences allow him to connect authentically with audiences of all ages and backgrounds. In 2024, he made history once again by becoming the first person with Bilateral CRPS to summit Mount Kilimanjaro, reinforcing his reputation as someone who continually turns adversity into achievement. Whether speaking to corporate teams, healthcare organisations or educational institutions, Jamie leaves audiences inspired to celebrate small wins, embrace resilience and transform “I can’t” into “I can”.
