Dave Fishwick sells minibuses in Burnley, Lancashire and he’s very successful at it. He owns a helicopter, a Land Rover and a Ferrari but he’s the most down to earth man you might ever meet.

Business’ in Burnley were struggling, banks were not lending, shops were closing and some of Dave minibus customers were struggling to find finance to purchase new vehicles. Dave Fishwick decided enough! and set out to do what no one has done before, start his own bank.

It was 2011 when Dave decided to open Burnley Savings and Loans or Bank on Dave, as it became known.

Dave burst onto our screens when Channel4 decided to film Dave through his trials and tribulations with the first episode aired in 2012, How To Open A Bank. A second follow up programme was broadcast in 2013.

Since then Dave Fishwick has become something of a celebrity. He’s written a book and continues to chase reform of the banking industry. He also still sells minibuses.
