Fern Brady is a comedian who was described by Vogue fashion magazine as one of the best 5 new female comedians in the UK. She was also named by the communications agency Spey, as the most influential Scottish Twitter user. Fern is a Scottish comedian originally from Bathgate which is a town half way between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
She has been writing and performing comedy professional since 2014 guesting on BBC R4’s The Today Programme. However, her first ever stand up gig was in 2006.
The Edinburgh Fringe in 2011 was when she was a finalist on, So You Think You Are Funny.
Fern’s TV career has seen her on everything from Out of 10 Cats to Live From The Apollo. In 2022 she was the head judge for the BBC New Comedy Awards and she appeared as a guest on Ch4’s Taskmaster.
In 2022 Fern presented the BBC’s Wheel of Misfortune podcast with fellow comedian Alison Spittle. Episodes are still available to listen to on Apple Podcasts.

Her 22/23 one woman show toured all over the UK and Europe. It finishes in June when Fern returns to Dublin to perform at Dublin’s famous performing arts centre, Vicar Street.
So far 2023 has been a big year for Fern. She smashed it on Taskmaster, sold out two previous legs of her current “Autistic Bikini Queen” Tour and her debut memoir “Strong Female Character” is now a Sunday Times Bestseller.
