Early Career and Breakthrough

Finlay Christie is a comedian who in 2019 won “So You Think You’re Funny”. He was just 19 at the time. He had followed comedy legends Peter Kay, Lee Mack, and Sarah Millican as one of the youngest winners ever. Soon after, he launched his debut Edinburgh Fringe show “OK Zoomer,” which earned a NextUp Best Show nomination in 2023. The show later released as a comedy special, quickly attracting over 550,000 views. Transitioning into wider recognition, Chortle described him as “the voice of his generation,” thanks to his sharp Gen Z material.

Finlay Christie a Rising Star at the Fringe

Building momentum, Christie returned with his 2024 Fringe show “I Deserve This.” The show won Entertainment Now’s WoW award and received multiple five‑star reviews. The Guardian praised it as “comedy gold,” while Edinburgh Festivals Magazine highlighted its endless stream of fresh zingers. These accolades strengthened his reputation as one of the most exciting comedians of his generation.

Alongside live performances, Finlay Christie expanded his reach online. His YouTube channel, filled with sketches and stand‑up clips and his TikTok account currently has over 13 Million likes. He produced popular series including “If Peep Show Was Set in 2025” and “Asking Black and White People…” Moreover, Christie collaborated with brands like Amazon Prime, Branston, Olli Olli World, and Spotlight Oral Care, creating engaging comedy content.

Television and Festival Appearances

His first script “Born to Rule” was optioned by Boffola Pictures, starring Isaac Hempstead‑Wright from Game of Thrones. He continues developing scripted comedy with Hat Trick Productions.

Acting and International Work

Beyond stand‑up, Finlay Christie acted in BBC2’s The Bleak Old Shop of Stuff with Stephen Fry and David Mitchell. He also featured in Radio 4’s The Go‑Betweenies with David Tennant, CBeebies’ Waybuloo, and Channel 4’s The Pharmacy. Fluent in French, Christie performed stand‑up in Lyon for six months, further broadening his international appeal.

Recent Projects and Future Plans
