Email Agent of Jim Craig

Jim Craig was a member of the Celtic team which became the first British side to win the European Cup in 1967, the eleven players being forever immortalized as the ‘Lisbon Lions’.

During the seven years he spent at Celtic Park, as well as that European Cup success, Jim picked up 7 League Championship winners’ medals, 4 for the Scottish Cup and 3 for the League Cup; and also represented his country in 1967.
Most unusually, all during this period, Jim was a qualified dentist, having graduated from Glasgow University in 1966.
After his football career ended in the mid-1970s, Jim took his full A-licence in coaching from the Scottish Football Association, with whom he worked for a few years; had a broadcasting career with Radio Clyde, BBC Scotland, Setanta and Celtic TV; has regularly written articles for a variety of publications; and is the author of four books – A Lion Looks Back (1998), Scotland’s Sporting Curiosities (2005); Celtic-Pride and Passion (with Pat Woods, 2014) and Right Back to 1967, due to come out in 2017/18.

Jim also spent a fair amount of time from the early 1990s watching and supporting his four sons and daughter in their rugby and hockey careers. All four boys played for first division sides, with one of them becoming a professional rugby player and also representing his country; while their sister had several seasons with a first division hockey club.
Jim retired from dentistry in December 2016 but still keeps himself busy with writing and after-dinner speaking. He is also kept on his toes by his wife Elisabeth, 5 children and 9 grand-children; and is looking forward to seeing the next generation in action in their own sporting careers.
