Leading Weather Presenter on BBC Scotland & Co-Host of Scotland’s Great Escapes’ & ‘Grado’

Judith Ralston is a very well known face on BBC Scotland.  She has been the resident weather and former traffic presenter since she first joined the BBC in 1999.

Originally from Edinburgh, Judith’s love of music saw her train at the RSAMD and she became a professional opera singer. However, a change of career in the late 90’s saw Judith join the BBC to become a travel presenter. She later covered both the news and weather.

Now a regular on our TV screens, Judith has become a firm favourite with a large and growing fan base.  Her love of music keeps her busy.  Judith still regularly guests on programmes such as Classic’s Unwrapped.

Judith has appeared numerous times on Children In Need. In 2014 Judith appeared on stage singing alongside fellow presenter Jackie Bird.

In 2023 Judith appeared as a co-host on Series 2 of Scotland’s Greatest Escapes. Here she makes her way around Scotland with fellow co-presenter Grado (Graeme Stevely) discussing some of the best places to stay in Scotland. Judith joined Grado again in 2024 for Series 3.

Judith Ralston is now very much in demand for hosting awards and events. With her knowledge of classical music, she is often asked to compare and present at concerts.
