Presenter, Host of ‘ Unforgivable’, Former Co-Host of ‘The Great British Bake Off’, Guest Presenter on ‘The One Show’, Comedian & Actress
Mel Giedroyc is a presenter, an actress and a successful comedy talent. Her early acting career saw her play a number of roles in French and Saunders in the late 90’s. She also starred in one episode of The Vicar of Dibley. Within a year, Mel’s TV career had taken off and she was next seen with Sue Perkins in the comedy chat show Light Lunch for Channel4. This took Mel and Sue to greater heights when they hosted BBC’s The Great British Bake Off. Other TV programmes followed and in 2014 she guest presented The One Show with Alex Jones.
In 2017 she appeared as a contestant in Taskmaster and took on the role as presenter of BBC2’s game show Letterbox. She was the host in forty five episodes.
Children in Need and to date, 4 episodes of Have I got News all followed. In 2018 Mel Giedroyc reported for Great Britain in The Eurovision Song Contest. She was co-presenter of Eurovision in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
To date she has also appeared five times in Jimmy Carr’s (8 Out Of 10 Cats). Mel’s comedy chat show Unforgivable started up in 2021 and to date the show is in it’s third series.
2021 saw Mel Giedroyc trip the light fantastic when she became a contestant in the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special. She originally turned down being on the show in 2017.
