Myleene Klass MBE is a British musician, television presenter and broadcaster known for her work across music, radio and television, and she is widely recognised as an engaging host and event speaker. She first rose to fame as a member of pop group Hear’Say and later built a successful media career, becoming a respected presenter and public personality.

Myleene Klass was born in Great Yarmouth and showed musical talent from an early age, learning violin and piano as a child. She studied at the Junior Department of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama before continuing her training at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she developed her classical music background. Early in her career she performed in musical theatre, including Miss Saigon in the West End, and worked as a backing vocalist for Cliff Richard. Her big break came in 2001 when she joined Hear’Say through the ITV series Popstars, launching her into the public eye and giving her experience in live performance, media and public appearances.

After Hear’Say, she released a classical crossover album, Moving On, which achieved commercial success and was nominated for Album of the Year at the Classical BRIT Awards. She then moved into television and radio presenting, hosting programmes including Popstar to Operastar, BBQ Champ and The One Show, and becoming a familiar face on Loose Women. She has also had a long career in radio, particularly with Classic FM, where she has presented classical music programmes for many years. In 2006 she finished runner up on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, and in 2023 she returned for the all stars series in South Africa, which she won, becoming the first “I’m a Celebrity Legend”. She was awarded an MBE for services to women’s health, miscarriage awareness and charity work.
