“Sharp-witted, full of surprises and with a great sense of history. Nick Robinson pulls back the curtain on an essential part of the democratic story. For everyone who wants to know more about the long, and sometimes hilarious, mud-wrestle between power and the media – and about the man behind the glasses – this is a must.” – Andrew Marr, Broadcaster, BBC

“A gripping 45-minute conversation.” – The Guardian

“One of the most important political programmes of recent times.” – Financial Times

“Achieves something remarkable… it tackles a subject that is vitally important but potentially tedious beyond belief – public finances – and talks about it in a way that is clear, insightful and entertaining. It’s precisely the sort of lucid, informative programming that you would associate with Andrew Marr.” – The Times
