Scottish Comedian & Actress, Winner of The Spotlight Prize & Best New Comedian At The Scottish Variety Awards & The Scottish Comedy Awards

Rachel Jackson trained at Rose Bruford College which is London’s famous international college of performance, theatre and drama.

She has been nominated for a number of awards. These include The Spotlight Prize and Best New Comedian at both The Scottish Variety Awards and also The Scottish Comedy Awards.

Already with a host of television credits, Rachel Jackson secured a leading role in the feature film ‘Beats’ from Ken Loach’s production company, Sixteen Films. ‘Beats’ was part of ‘The Great 8’ which was shown at a private screening at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival.

Earlier in 2018 Rachel played the part of Donna in Karen Gillan’s directorial debut ‘The Party’s Just beginning’. This got into the TriBeCa Film Festival in NYC as well as The Glasgow International Film Festival. Here, it was nominated for best feature film at the Scottish Baftas.

In 2023 Rachel Jackson was nominated for best stand up comedian at the ATL (All The Laughs) Comedy Awards in Atlanta, Georgia.

Her TV roles are numerous with parts in ‘Outlander’, ‘Still Game’ (BBC1) ‘Two Doors Down’ (BBC2) and Scot Squad (BBC1). If you haven’t seen Rachel on any of these, she was also the face of Irn-Bru in a nationwide advertising campaign.

Rachel Jackson wrote and starred in a 6 part mini series for BBC Three called ‘Bunny Boiler’. She then performed the critically acclaimed show of the same name at The Edinburgh Fringe.

As well as acting, Rachel is also a working stand up comedian. She has performed everywhere from the UK to Berlin, Beijing, NYC, Tokyo and LA. This has led to Rachel speaking at various corporate and private events. She has also put her superb talents to great demand as an awards host and MC.
