Rageh Omaar is a special correspondent and presenter at ITV News. He covers a broad range of news stories and produces special in-depth reports from all around the UK and further afield.
Whilst working for the BBC, Rageh rose to prominence in 2003 as the BBC’s ‘Man in Baghdad’; his reports from the beleaguered Iraqi capital became a regular feature on news bulletins in the UK and around the world. He went on to win a Peabody Award and a BAFTA for his reports from Darfur and Kabul.
He spent 4 year between 2006 and 2010 with the Al Jazeera network where he presented> He went on to do his own report on global current affairs before moving on to ITV in 2013 as their Special Correspondent, then in 2014 he rose to ITV News’ International Affairs Editor.
Rageh is often seen presenting ITV’s News at Ten and ITV’s Lunchtime News.
