Sarah Willingham entrepreneur was one of the more recent Dragons on BBC’s Dragons Den. She joined the Dragons for the 13th and 14th series along with Moonpig.com founder, Nick Jenkins and fashion retail guru, Touker Suleyman.
Prior to taking her seat in the Den, Sarah Willingham was probably the best known, UK’s female money saving and consumer champion. She was also consumer expert for Sky News Sunrise. This was where she gave the best advice to the consumer in her weekly ‘Money Matters’ slot. She made appearances on This Morning and Good Morning Britain on ITV and also the Steve Wright show on Radio 2.
Sarah also co-presented “The Money Hour”, on LBC radio. Here she covered all the financial issues that affect listeners, from mortgage rates, savings, loans and also how to get the best personal finance deals.
Sarah Willingham founded the consumer facing website www.letssavemoney.com . She had weekly money-saving columns in Best magazine and also Closer magazine. This was along with regular blogs for Daily Mail and Hello online. She regularly wrote features for Essentials magazine, The Lady and also many other newspapers and magazines.
As a successful serial entrepreneur, Sara Willingham is known for turning the Bombay Bicycle Club into the largest chain of Indian restaurants in the UK, Sarah is also a founding director and investor in the London Cocktail Club, a successful chain of cocktail bars in central London, as well as being involved in a number of other food related businesses including promoting food from her home town as patron for ‘The Taste of Staffordshire’. In 2021 Sarah invested in the already successful London Ramen restaurant group Tonkotsu to help enable further expansion in the UK.
In 2020 Sarah founded and is CEO of Nightcap Plc which is a forward thinking, bar acquisition and development company.
Sarah is a popular speaker in the UK and also internationally on topics including customer service, customer relations, financial services, Leadership and Teamwork, Business Turnarounds, Food, Restaurant/Retail/Leisure industries and Entrepreneurism.
She lives in the countryside with her Danish husband, Michael, and their four children – Minnie, Monti, Nelly and Marly.
