Steve Davis throughout the 80’s was the World’s No1 in snooker. He won the Championships 6 times and in 1981 Steve was also named the BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
His Championship Final match with Dennis Taylor in 1985 had a record TV audience of 18.5 million. It was voted by Channel 4 as one of the top ten sporting moments of all time.
These days Steve can be heard and seen on TV commentating for the BBC on their snooker coverage. However, in 2013 Steve entered the Jungle as a contestant in, I’m A Celebrity.. Get Me Out Of Here. He did well, lasting a total of 19 days before being voted out.
With his wit and personality he has become a regular guests on quiz shows. These included A Question of Sport and They Think It’s All Over. However, not so widely known, Steve is also much in demand as a DJ, going under the name of Rocky Flame and DJ Thundermuscle.
Steve has more than one autobiography having started the first in the early 80’s but his most recent is called Interesting: My Autobiography.
With a multitude of stories from his career Steve David is now one of the most in demand sporting personalities at after dinner and Q&A events.
