Zara Janjua is a bold, multifaceted presenter lighting up TV, radio, podcasts, and events. Known for her charisma and versatility, she has fronted everything from national news to late-night shows. Zara has also fronted children’s programs for BBC and ITV. As a journalist, her credits include The Guardian and The New York Times, alongside a current three-year stint as a columnist for The Scottish Sun on Sunday.

Currently, Zara Janjua hosts Sunday Morning on BBC Radio Scotland, covers Mornings and The Afternoon Show, and presents Author’s Live on BBC iPlayer. She also brings the laughs as a writer and performer for the satirical comedy show Noising Up.
A powerhouse both on and off-screen, Zara Janjua was named a “One to Watch” at the Women of the Future Awards in 2020. She was later celebrated as one of the UK’s Top Business Women. Zara runs a media training business and a production company specializing in human impact storytelling. From filming marginalized women in Nepal to climbing Kilimanjaro for a children’s charity, and documenting the lives of rural Guatemalan children, her work is as impactful as it is inspiring.

A global keynote speaker, Zara Janjua has captivated audiences of thousands on topics like women’s rights and education, also EDI. Last year, she addressed 14,000 people at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena about her climate-focused human rights advocacy. She also sits on the NatWest Ethnicity Advisory Board. Zara has hosted major financial conferences, including the EBRD’s global event in Uzbekistan.
In the comedy world, Zara is also a two-time Funny Women Awards finalist, a stand-up performer at the Edinburgh Festival, and now writes sitcoms for the BBC. Her upcoming CBBC show Gifted is set to air in 2025. On-screen, she’s appeared in ITV’s Karen Pirie and Jemima Goldsmith’s What’s Love Got To Do With It. As a TV producer she worked on ITV’s This Morning, scooping two NTAs and one BAFTA while on the team.
