Email Agent of Charlotte Henshaw

Charlotte Henshaw MBE is one of Britain’s most successful Paralympians, renowned for achieving elite success across two different sports. A three-time Paralympic gold medallist and 11-time World Champion in paracanoeing, Charlotte first made her name in swimming before redefining her career through an extraordinary transition into canoeing. Alongside her Paralympic titles, she has won Paralympic silver and bronze medals in swimming and established herself as the world-leading time holder for the KL2 200m event. Charlotte’s remarkable ability to adapt, evolve and consistently perform under pressure has made her one of the most respected athletes in British sport and a highly sought-after motivational speaker.

Charlotte first represented Great Britain at just 16 years old at the Danish Open before progressing rapidly through the international swimming circuit. Her breakthrough came when she was selected for the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games, where she narrowly missed the podium with a fourth-place finish. She soon became a major force in Paralympic swimming, winning her first World Championship gold medal in 2009, setting world records in 2010 and earning Paralympic silver at London 2012 before adding bronze at Rio 2016. In 2017, Charlotte announced her retirement from swimming and embarked on a new challenge in paracanoeing. Within months, she secured a medal at the European Championships before going on to dominate the sport internationally. Alongside competition, Charlotte has been involved with organisations including the British Paralympic Association, British Canoeing and the European Canoe Association.

Over the course of her career, Charlotte has accumulated an exceptional collection of accolades. She won her first World Championship title in paracanoe in 2018 before claiming Paralympic gold at Tokyo 2020 and two further gold medals at the Paris Paralympic Games. In 2015, she broke world records and established a new European swimming record, further cementing her reputation as an elite athlete. Charlotte graduated from the University of Stirling with a degree in Psychology and Sports Studies and was awarded an MBE in the 2022 New Year Honours for services to canoeing and Paralympic sport.

Today, Charlotte is celebrated not only for her sporting achievements but also for her honesty, resilience and leadership. Her experiences overcoming setbacks, managing elite performance and successfully reinventing herself allow her to connect with audiences across business, education and sport. Charlotte delivers inspiring talks on mindset, adaptability, teamwork and sustaining success under pressure, offering practical lessons that resonate long after her presentations end.

Charlotte Henshaw MBE is hired as a speaker for her unique story of resilience, reinvention and sustained high performance. Having achieved Paralympic success in both swimming and paracanoeing, she shares valuable insights into adapting to change, overcoming setbacks and maintaining focus at the highest level. Charlotte speaks with authenticity and energy, combining elite sporting experiences with practical lessons on mindset and leadership. Her appearances at major international sporting events and leadership within the Paralympic community make her an inspiring choice for conferences, leadership events, educational programmes and wellbeing initiatives seeking a speaker with genuine impact.
